As to free app such as Zoiper, it only allow one SIP account. Therefore, extremely few people have phone has "Android's built-in SIP client usually accessed through the Phone app settings, which has the advantage of integrating with the native dialer.". Yes, but "Android's built-in SIP client usually accessed through the Phone app settings, which has the advantage of integrating with the native dialer." is hidden intentionally by almost all phone manufacturers including, but not limited to, Android One phones due to carriers in United States sell vast majority of phones, and phone manufacturers want to sell phone in United States so they have given in to carriers' demand (to make it appear to be only carrier can have access to the Phone app) over consumer's interest with exception of Google phones such as Pixel and Nexus. Voice calls on it are good enough to consider ditching an unlimited voice plan. I personally think the sound quality was better on the Messaging app than Hangouts. It drained 4Gb of data for no reason and I am permanently done with the app. I had the Messaging app installed and had my Mint SIM as the primary data. The irony is that the original FP app was based on CSipSimple and the current one is based on Linphone. Though instead of Hangouts I've been using the Google Voice app with beta Wi-Fi calling (if that's even considered "beta" anymore). I agree with Boz1 that using Google Voice is better, especially since it gets you incoming SMS as well. You can use the SIP credentials with any SIP app, including Linphone (open source), CSipSimple, GS Wave, and Zoiper - and you can use them with Android's built-in SIP client usually accessed through the Phone app settings, which has the advantage of integrating with the native dialer.
